If today was your last day- Nickel back
Today, I felt that I finally put my mark on something that was important to me. Being humane is the most important thing in life for me. I can't tolerate treating people and seeing people being treated unfair and unjust. I was able to make the management think twice about the fate of an operator that made a mistake. When I heard the change of heart by management, I was incredibly happy. Because I felt my efforts has worked.
Now that we are more settled in our new place, I am going to get in touch with my friends for some fun time before I get absorbed in odd shifts that I think I am going to be respectfully forced it!
Anyways, the new Nickelback song is quite interesting. Below is the lyrics. Enjoy!
My best friend gave me
The best advice
He said each day's a gift
And not a given right
Leave no stone unturned
Leave your fears behind
And try to take
The path less traveled by
That first step you take
Is the longest stride
If today was your last day
And tomorrow was too late
Could you say goodbye to yesterday?
Would you live each moment like your last?
Leave old pictures in the past
Donate every dime you have?
If today was your last day
If today was your last day
Against the grain
Should be a way of life
What's worth the prize
Is always worth the fight
Every second counts 'cause there's no second try,
So live like you'll Never live it twice
Don't take the free ride
In your own life
If today was your last day
And tomorrow was too late
Could you say goodbye to yesterday?
Would you live each moment like your last?
Leave old pictures in the past
Donate every dime you have?
Would you call old friends you never see?
Reminisce of memories
Would you forgive your enemies?
Would you find that one you're dreamin' of
Swear up and down to God above
That you finally fall in love
If today was your last day
If today was your last day...
Would you make your mark
By mending a broken heart?
You know it's never too late
To shoot for the stars,
Regardless of who you are
So do whatever it takes'cause you can't rewind
A moment in this life
Let nothin' stand in your way'cause the hands of time
Are never on your side
If today was your last day
And tomorrow was too late,
Could you say goodbye to yesterday?

Strange times
Last week was full of events. We started the week by checking out bedroom sets, kitchen table and office furniture for Pishi. We have narrowed some options but I think we should search more! For some reason, I have the need to be sure that I have made the best decision all the time!! The more time passes by the more I fell in love with Pishi and love our life together. I love our new place with great sun light and enjoy every single day in it.
We ended the week with one our friend's birthday party that happened at our building party room. It's great when you go to a party of around 70 people without the need to look for parking spot, dressed with coats and what not. Going down with the elevator to the party room was the best!I must say the party room was great and we had lots of fun!
Mid week, our company announced that they are eliminating some departments and moving them to US! That news was a big surprise to all of us, specially that a brand new facility was built for them and they just moved in a couple of month ago! This move wasn't due to recession unlike most companies that are laying off people due to financial problems. I hope the personnel who worked there find jobs fast. The employees in those groups are highly educated and it always puzzles my mind that why those people always get screwed all the time!
I am still continuing reading Miss Marple stories and enjoying every page! We watched a movie called " Negab". This movie was the first unpredictable Iranian movie I have ever watched. I highly recommend watching it as I give the director and script writer 2 thumbs up.
Last but not least, I got the pleasure of taking packaging lines apart! I had the opportunity to tag along with a mechanic while I am learning about packaging lines and I must say it was great! Trying to take things apart and looking into the machines and actually seeing the design and how it works were fun!
